Maple Grove has hospitals, clinics, and nearly every pediatric service a parent could name, which makes one gap stand out: families searching for ABA therapy in Maple Grove, MN quickly find that intensive autism therapy slots are scarce everywhere in the northwest metro. Neurolink Academy is one suburb east, about twelve minutes from most of the 55311 and 55369 neighborhoods. We are a BCBA-led applied behavior analysis (ABA) provider for children ages 2 to 10 and an enrolled provider of EIDBI (Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention), Minnesota's Medical Assistance benefit for intensive autism treatment.
One suburb east
From the Arbor Lakes area, Highway 610 east drops you into Brooklyn Park in minutes; exit toward the Boone Avenue N area for our clinic at 7100 Northland Circle N, Suite 201. From central and south Maple Grove, Bass Lake Road east is often simpler than the freeway. Families near the Osseo border, where Maple Grove addresses carry the 55369 ZIP, are closest of all, often under ten minutes. By Maple Grove commuting standards, where I-94 and I-494 set expectations, this is a short hop.
The coverage many Maple Grove families miss
Here is the conversation we have most often with Maple Grove parents: the family has solid commercial insurance through an employer, assumes Medicaid is irrelevant to them, and quietly worries about what intensive therapy will cost. Then they learn about MA TEFRA. TEFRA qualifies a child with a disability for Medical Assistance based on the child's needs alone; parental income does not disqualify the family. With MA in place, EIDBI funds the therapy itself, and for most EIDBI families the out-of-pocket cost is zero.
We accept MA TEFRA, Straight MA, HealthPartners PMAP, and Blue Cross Blue Shield PMAP (Blue Plus). One honest caveat: we do not bill commercial plans directly, so EIDBI through Medical Assistance is the funding path for therapy with us. The mechanics, including how TEFRA applications work, are laid out on our insurance and EIDBI coverage page, and our intake team walks you through your specific numbers.
What a therapy week actually looks like
Sessions run at our Brooklyn Park center, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Your child's weekly hours, typically 20 to 40, come from their Individual Treatment Plan (ITP), written by the BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) who leads their program. For younger children the day is play-based and built around natural routines; for school-age kids in Osseo Area Schools, we coordinate hours around the district calendar. Parent coaching is woven in throughout so that skills practiced at the center show up at home, at Elm Creek playgrounds, and at the grandparents' table.
If your child has not been evaluated yet, Minnesota requires a CMDE (Comprehensive Multi-Disciplinary Evaluation) before EIDBI services begin. We do not perform it, but our CMDE guide demystifies the process, and intake can run in parallel so no time is lost. When you are ready, start intake; it takes about five minutes, and we verify coverage for you.
EIDBI and Medical Assistance welcome for Maple Grove families
EIDBI works the same in Maple Grove as everywhere in Minnesota, and we accept all four Medical Assistance pathways that fund it. For most EIDBI families, therapy costs nothing out of pocket. Our intake team verifies your child's coverage for free.
Questions from Maple Grove families
Straight answers to what local parents ask us most.
About 12 minutes from most of the city. From the Arbor Lakes area, families typically take Highway 610 east or Bass Lake Road east toward Boone Avenue N in Brooklyn Park; our clinic is at 7100 Northland Circle N. Neighborhoods near the Osseo border are even closer, often under 10 minutes.
Many Maple Grove families can, through MA TEFRA. TEFRA lets a child with a disability qualify for Medical Assistance regardless of parental income, and MA then funds EIDBI therapy, often alongside your commercial plan. We accept MA TEFRA along with Straight MA, HealthPartners PMAP, and Blue Cross Blue Shield PMAP (Blue Plus). Note that we do not bill commercial plans directly.
It is more workable than most parents expect. Therapy intensity is set by your child's Individual Treatment Plan, typically 20 to 40 hours per week, and it happens at our center rather than in your home, so your house does not become a clinic. Families build drop-off and pick-up into work commutes the same way they would for preschool or childcare.
